We arrive to the triangle at 7 pm, set up camp and eat dinner. By 9 pm my headlamp light goes out. I drift into sleep with my bag partially unzipped from exhaustion. At night I wake up to noise and turn my head outside. I see outline of my backpack about ten feet away from the tent. Did hungry animals drag my backpack with food away??? Fully awakened, with adrenalin rush, and fight or flight reaction I now see it is only a snowshoe I stuck in the snow away from the tent. I guess your mind never sleeps, and fatigue makes for funny (later) dreams.
