In vicinity of Gabimichigami Lake we lose the trail altogether. The tread is non-existent. Non-existent. Brush, vegetation and burnt out treefalls everywhere. Everything looks the same. No rock cairns, not any that you could see until you are one foot passed them. I recognize opening between cedar tops in direction of the lake and we head that way. Last fall we saw signs of hikers making multiple paths ways, damaging the resource. Forest Service needs to do better job clearing the wilderness trails here.
