BWAC > On Saturday, prior to our planned hike on September 11th, we decided to scout the Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis. Eric Lieder, our guide, pointed out the raging falls to us and confidently led the way on our one hour and 15 minutes long expedition.
BWAC > Minnehaha creek flows deep in a deep valley. The surrounding shade results in more moisture for vegetation and give a tropical kind of feeling to the visitors, well almost.
BWAC > Even in the heart of metropolis, treefalls continue to plague the hikers. Here, couple of senior citizens attempt to negotiate an obstacle. Are you going to be up to the challenge on Sept. 11?
BWAC > High bush cranberries captured our imagination. High in vitamin C, they will be ripe in about a month.
BWAC > A colorful plant along the path awaiting identification.
BWAC > New poster of the "TEAMWORK" series in your work place. We pondered how to overcome the communication and networking barriers. Would having blackberries helped?
BWAC > Through applying leadership skills, we finally pulled the team together. Ideas flowed freely and we were energized with a feeling of being a part of a cohesive team.
BWAC > Later in the hike, Martin and Eric explored a remote sandstone cave where ancient indigenous people of Minneapolis carved pictures of animals and scenes from every day life in the soft rock.
BWAC > Looking high above the Mississippi River, we marveled at geese trying to set up their own version the net-meeting without the benefit of global crossing, ready access or blackberries. How do they do it???
