We took the Kubik "shortcut" to Parent Lake, and aiming-off bearing to Snowbank portage in a blinding snow storm. Crew performed admirably under duress and we reached the landing at 7 pm.

BWAC > Back at Smitty's, Tess cooked noki with marinara sauce and parmesan. Every one was beat from the physically demanding trip, but felt exhilirated about the accomplishment and learning new outdoors skills: temperature (layer) management, pine tree identification, ice thickness testing, safe treefall cutting, map and compass skills, and crew leading.(l to r) Tess, Luke, Karen, Martin and Shawn.
