BWAC > Welcome to crew leader training hike.

BWAC > Vast expanse of Otter Lake wilderness. Variety of surroundings makes Otter Lake a good training ground.

BWAC > Hidden pond is diffucult to access in summer by canoe. Winter extends the hiking span over ice.

BWAC > Snowshoes came in handy in the outlying lake areas where snow was deep.

BWAC > We hike up to old farmstead.

BWAC > After safety talk, we crossed the road to Bald Eagle Lake and paused for break. One minute to departure.

BWAC > We crossed back into Otter Lake and socialized.

BWAC > At temperatures this cold, we limited our "bushwhacking experience" to hiking on snowmobile trail. Cattails are super dense here.
